Re: Ed Sheeran
The guy is an amazing song writer. He’s also put the work in performing in bars and clubs for years before making it, so he knows what his audience like. He’s not some major label plant. He grafted.

He also isn’t afraid to work with people in different genres and bridges the gap very well and with respect. On top of that he seems a really nice guy and people in the industry really like working with him.

Don’t have anything bad to say about Ed really.

Dicko

Still here, last show tonight.

As an aside the motors that turn the stage around weigh 6 tonnes each and there is two of them.

Seems a decent lad to be fair. Few little catchy pop tunes. Pretty harmless.

Re: Ed Sheeran
Saw him about 10 or 11 years ago as a support act for Snow Patrol in Toronto - I really didn't have a clue who he was, but was wondering why half the audience were screaming, teenage girls were there for SP! Appreciated how good he was, even then. Glad I saw him in a small venue though...

Re: Ed Sheeran
I think his ticket prices should be half price seeing as how the fuckwit audiences seem to sing half the songs for him.

Apart from that even people who like him don't seem to be able to explain exactly what he's so good at.

Just a 2nd rate busker if you ask me.

Not my cup of tea but harmless enough

Re: Ed Sheeran
Not a fan as his songs are bland but he can drive loopers spectacularly. Tuneyards did it best.

My son and I played laser combat at Center Parcs against a team that included him and his then girlfried and now wife a few years ago and our side trounced theirs.

My son messaged Ed Sheeran to ask if it was actually him and he replied to say yes.

He went to the same school as me (but about 25 years later)

Every one of his songs I've heard sounds like something I've heard before

He's got some decent songs.

Re: Ed Sheeran
I reckon he’s got a couple of years left before he’s in the dome club and then it’ll be all over for him.

He’ll look like Billy Corgan from Smashing Pumpkins but with ginger eyebrows and minus the song writing ability.

A right cunt in other words.

He’s fucking cako with money though so he won’t give a fuck.

Sitting there in his massive garden with his Ipswich shirt on and the factor 50 on his swede sipping pina coladas and shooting Delia’s pies with a twelve bore.

Re: Ed Sheeran
I mean I don’t feel the need to turn the radio off if he comes on like I do with Sam smith, George Michael (other than faith obviously), simply red, lighthouse family, Coldplay and travis to make a few, but clearly music to appeal to younger folk and especially girls.

Good luck to him.

Has anyone said that if you don’t like Ed Sheehan then you must be a music snob yet?

New Jersey and Northern, no alcohol in my place, we had to drink from puddles. The summer of 76 was really tough.

Re: Ed Sheeran
From what I can work out his songs sound just like other songs. Like he copies melodies and rearranges them. But fuck me a lot of artists do. He just better at it.

Fooking hell Northern, you was posh being brought up on Blue Nun, we had to make do with Morrison's own brand Hock!
